Traditional online PDF converters upload your document, process it on a shared machine and email or link you the result. That means a copy of your contract, payslip or medical record sits on someone else's disk, at least temporarily.
Morphix takes the other route. The PDF engines — pdf-lib for structural edits, pdf.js for rendering and text extraction, and WebAssembly builds for heavier work — are downloaded once into your browser and run on your own CPU. The file is read from your disk into memory, transformed, and handed straight back to you as a download. No request carries your document, so there is nothing to leak, delete or trust.
The honest trade-off: very large files depend on the memory your browser can allocate, and PDF to Word or Excel rebuilds content rather than reproducing complex layouts pixel-perfectly. For scanned documents, OCR runs first — also locally.
