1. Who we are
This privacy policy applies to morph-ix.world ("Morphix", "we", "us"), operated by the Morphix Team. You can reach us through our contact form.
2. The short version
- Your files never leave your device. All conversion happens in your browser.
- We don't require an account and we don't ask for personal data to use the converter.
- We use Google AdSense to show ads (only after you consent), and Google sets cookies for that.
- The contact form stores your message in our backend so we can reply.
- You can opt out of ad cookies any time by clearing your browser storage or re-opening our cookie banner.
3. Data we process
a) Files you convert
Files you drop into the converter are decoded and re-encoded inside your browser using JavaScript, the Canvas API, and WebAssembly modules such as ffmpeg.wasm. The file bytes are held in your tab's memory only for as long as the conversion runs and are discarded when you leave the page. We do not receive, store, log, or have any way to view the contents of the files you convert.
b) Contact form
When you write to us through the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message text so we can respond. These are stored in our backend database for as long as needed to handle your enquiry. You can request deletion at any time by writing to the same form.
c) Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention. These logs are rotated automatically by the provider.
d) Advertising and analytics
When you accept cookies, we load Google AdSense to display ads. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
4. Legal basis (GDPR)
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we process data on the following legal bases: consent for advertising and non-essential cookies; legitimate interest for security logs and abuse prevention; and performance of a service you requested for replies to your contact-form submission.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of that data
- Withdraw consent for advertising cookies at any time
- Lodge a complaint with your national data-protection authority
California residents have equivalent rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and the right to delete. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the contact form.
6. Third-party services
- Google AdSense — advertising. How Google uses data.
- Google Fonts — typography (served via CSS).
- Cloudflare — hosting and DDoS protection.
- NordVPN — affiliate links only; we receive a commission if you sign up after clicking one. Clearly labelled.
7. Children
Morphix is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us information through the contact form, please write to us so we can delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in the service or the law. The "Last updated" date at the top tells you when. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage.
