Which bitrate should I pick?

• High quality (192 kbps) — music you want to keep near-CD quality.
• Standard (128 kbps) — good default for everyday listening and sharing.
• Small file (96 kbps) — meaningful size cut for messaging and email attachments.
• Voice / podcast (64 kbps mono) — smallest files for spoken-word content.

WAV to MP3 — big size wins

WAV files are uncompressed and typically 10× larger than MP3 at similar perceived quality. Dropping a WAV in and picking the Standard preset is usually enough to shrink it dramatically while keeping it good for phones, cars, and web players.
